Mini Golf
The mini golf course is right on the resort grounds and easy for anyone to jump into. It’s a casual, fun activity for kids, adults, and groups. No need to book—just show up and play.
Tennis
Hit the court for a quick match or a full-on rally session. The resort has outdoor tennis courts available for guests, complete with a beautiful lake backdrop and plenty of room to move. Great for casual games or brushing up on your skills during your stay. Equipment is available at the front desk if you didn’t pack your own.
Canoeing & Kayaking
The Lakeside Adventure Centre is where you can rent canoes, kayaks, and paddleboats to explore Bras d’Or Lake. The lake is calm and saltwater, with wide open space and hidden coves that are great for a peaceful paddle.
Indoor & Outdoor Pools
There are two pools at the resort. The indoor pool is great for a swim any time of year, and the outdoor pool is open during the warmer months with seating and space to relax.
Volleyball
There’s a volleyball net set up near the lake, available to guests at any time. Bring a group or join in with others. It’s casual, friendly, and a great way to spend an afternoon outside.
Hiking Trails
Several trails around the resort make it easy to explore the property on foot. Some lead to quiet lookouts or scenic lake views. The terrain is generally easygoing and suitable for most guests.
Lakeside Adventure Center
This is the central hub for rentals and recreation. You can get set up with paddling gear here, and during the busier seasons, the recreation staff will also organize games and scheduled activities for guests of all ages.
Bonfires
Bonfires are often set up by the water in the evening. They’re a relaxed way to wind down after a full day—watch the sunset, enjoy the fire, and spend time with other guests in a beautiful setting.
Playground
There’s a dedicated play area for kids on-site, close to the main lodge. It’s a great spot for families to stop in and let the kids have fun while staying nearby.
Ping Pong & Indoor Games
Ping pong and a few other indoor games are available as a fun way to spend time indoors. It’s a good option for rainy days, cooler evenings, or a break from the sun.
Local Entertainment
Live music and small performances are scheduled throughout the season. Most evenings include entertainment in one of the resort’s gathering spaces, featuring Cape Breton musicians and performers.
